THE WORDS OF WISDOM 4D WISE (WWW) CORNER A man who wants to lead the orchestra MUST turn his back on the crowd ~ Max Lucado. There are some situations and instances of life we just have to take courage and BOLD out of majority, standing out. An orchestra from dictionary context, I quote, is a usually large group of musicians who together play many different instruments ~ Cambridge International Dictionary of English. For an orchestrated group of musicians to take effect or perfect a piece, they have to go through series of rehearsals and most importantly be fostered by a singularly exceptional LEADER. The personality of such leader must be so sound and he MUST be a wise and intelligent person. He carries up there in his MIND, the totality of the music rests, pauses, bridges, modulation, crests etc all by himself. Hence, hes the mind and spirit of the group as the successful drive of the entire group is vested upon him. When he misses out, the group falls and fails out. He represents the attention of the crowd while keeping his eyes and attention shut away from them as he concentrates on delegation and inspiration upon his group. What a job the orchestra leader does!!! We can clearly see here that theres a great job for the leader of the orchestra band. It isnt an easy job having such a group and maintaining it, I tell you. In relative terms to life lessons: 1. A leader MUST not sleep away his mind. Serious Behind the scene tasks must be enhanced and perfected. A sleeping mind is an unproductive mind - Prov. 6:10 2. He MUST not follow the crowd...he can learn from them as no one knows it all. In other words, he must do much on focusing on HIS BUSINESS. If you dont believe in your own vision and embrace it, no one else would. 3. He MUST be disciplined in his MIND. There are many many situations than ever, he should ignore scenes or gestures that steal away his sincere attention to the vision and task committed to him. Ofcourse they are there to distract and frustrate him. The antidote is ignore it. 4. He MUST be smart, productive and learned. A learned person interms of research. Knowledge brings new ideas in innovation. A fruitful and successful result comes from the idea of a bright mind. 2Tim. 2:15 5. A leader has his cave period; a time to keep quite and watch. He is good listener and observer. There are times a leader should give himself up to listening than talking. Not that there aint words to say, but a man gains more when he listens than when he talks. Do not talk if you cannot improve on the silence ~ a Chinese proverb. When you talk for a period of time, give way for silence to equal your words and your talking period. Thats the way to learn and be a good leader. 6. He MUST be prayerfully equipped. Prayer helps to know the un-seen. It unfolds mysteries and revelations about what is ahead, while also keeping the enemies of the vision under subjection of Gods mandate in your life. Theyve got no option than to surrender to Gods purpose for your life - 1Thess. 5:17 Keep focused!
