THEFT FROM MOTOR CAR HOTSPOT - BALWYN NORTH If you have been keeping an eye on this page you will be well aware that theft from motor car is a major issue for us right across the Boroondara LGA. Last night Balwyn North residents were hit hard by thieves as follows: ANDREW CT, BALWYN NORTH LANDEN AV, BALWYN NORTH CUMBERLAND AV, BALWYN NORTH LANDEN AV, BALWYN NORTH ELLSA ST, BALWYN NORTH LANDEN AV, BALWYN NORTH ELLSA ST, BALWYN NORTH CLIFTON ST, BALWYN NORTH MOULE AV, BALWYN NORTH FITZGERALD ST, BALWYN Some cars were unlocked, others had windows smashed to gain entry and whatever was inside was stolen including laptops and cash. We employ a wide variety of strategies to prevent these offences and apprehend offenders but our task is more than difficult given the size of the area we cover and theres absolutely no doubt we need the support of the local community to properly secure their cars, remove all valuable, and park off street if possible. We really need your eyes and ears on the street to report suspicious activity to us straight away to give us the best possible chance to apprehend offenders which will normally result in significant reductions of a particular crime hotspot.
