[THEORYCRAFT] So Ive done a bit of thinking and came up with a potential deck design for HB:EtF (possibly HB:ST too, if small tweaks are made). Its centered around what most people would call the weakness of Bioroids and thats the way the runner can just click through them, but once theyre stacked its much more formidable. The premise is that ALL ice in the deck is clickable bioroid. the idea (hopefully, Ive built the deck but havent had a chance to playtest yet - thats happening tomorrow though) being that it entices the runner to run early/often and use their clicks to get into the servers while the corp does the burst econ thing to build up the servers. Hopefully, this all results in some nice, though rather brutal, work compression problems for the runner since they spent their time clicking through the ice instead of drawing and setting up their breakers/econ. Ive built the deck to further this aim by including 2x Ruhr Valley and 3x Strongbox (once the new HB Current is out, I will probably swap the Ruhrs for them), and also included the very unlikely bait of Sundew (ideally towards the midgame once its difficult for the runner to click into a server) to pressure the runner into making suboptimal runs when theyre not ready for it, further drawing out the work compression problem. The Agendas for the deck consists of > 3x PriReq - free rez Wotan, Janus, or Heimdal 2.0! > 3x Project Wotan - nasty synergy with clickable bioroids (especially the 2.0s) > 3x Sentinel Defence - Nice little stacked effect to make the later runs that much more riskier... especially with some ProWot counters sitting unused on the corps side of the table. Which leads into the final bit about this deck.... its 59 cards, so definitely a bit heftier than your normal HB deck (and an HB deck that big does look intimidating). I found that in order to really fit all the econ and upgrades/assets the deck needs, it needed to be a bit larger than the norm. Ill probably be publishing the decklist after its gone through some playtesting (and probably the montly tourny at my FLGS next month) at which time Ill link it here for those inclined. TL;DR - HB deck that creates work compression by using all bioroid ice.
