THESE WORDS ARE MORE CURRENT and URGENT THAN EVER BEFORE !!! 16.01. - 1 - Speech Of The Day - ON VISIT OF DANISH SOVEREIGNS „… the true leader is one who dedicates himself to be a guide and inspirer of the nobler sentiments and aspirations of his people. … … With present day material and technological development, mankind has entered an age which has never been known before in world history. Gone are the days of scientists such as Tycho Brahe who studied the stars without the aid of a telescope. Science has made such gigantic strides that celestial bodies millions of miles away are studied with accuracy. Some of these celestial bodies are within easy reach of our world. We no longer need to speculate on what the moon is made of. Man has been there; he has seen and touched it. He has brought back some parts of it. Today, when the scientific and technological revolutions have made the world smaller and one single unit, it is important that the leaders of all the peace loving countries of the world should ensure that the weight of both human and material wealth are enlisted for man`s spiritual development and for the promotion of world peace and human understanding. For countless generations mankind has been yearning for peace in the world. Today among other things economic distress, colonialism and racial oppressions are the causes of war. It is sad that we still witness in our present day and age various forms of denial of human rights. … … Racialism and modern civilization cannot co-exist. It is the duty and noble task of all countries to take concrete and effective measures to eradicate it. … … In our troubled day it is all the more necessary for countries to work with a view to finding solutions which will remove the danger of war. When we work for peace we must also work for achieving the conditions which will make peace possible. An appreciation of the common heritage of all peoples, an awareness of the growing inter-dependence of nations and the indivisibility for the freedom and well-being of all peoples are conditions which will help substantially in building a healthy world community. … … Since this world body embodies our hopes for the survival and progress of all peoples, member states should continue to give their unflinching support. …” chronological-speeches-of-him-qhs.blogspot.de/2015/01/1601-1-speech-of-day-on-visit-of-danish.html
