THINGS THEY SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT US IN UNIVERSITY 1: HOW TO SELL- While I was in the University, no one taught me how to sell. I know I went there to study Communication Arts but that notwithstanding, selling is the most important skill in any field and should therefore be a part of every curriculum. Nothing works until someone sells. After reading all those headless books and attending all those theory-based classes, you will come out of University and be faced with the need to sell. You just cant escape it. Youll either have to sell yourself when you go for a job interview, sell an idea to an investor or sell a product to a customer. Whatever path you choose, you must either sell or fail. Selling is the most important job in an organization and its the most essential skill for any individual. Schools, please teach us how to sell. Selah!
