THIRD SUSPECT BOOKED IN DONOVAN WEBSTER MURDER August 14, 2014 Yesterday, Detective Johnson made the third arrest related to the Donovan Webster homicide that occurred in February of this year. Earlier this week Phillip Sloan (20) was arrested and booked into the Merced County jail. Noah Sanders (23) was arrested today at the Sacramento County jail where he was in custody for a probation violation. Police did not want to release the earlier arrest of Sloan until they had a chance to pick up Sanders and interview him. Sloan was initially interviewed in the early stages of the investigation and denied any involvement in the homicide. From the beginning, detectives believed there were two or possibly three individuals in the vehicle when the suspects pulled up to Webster. Throughout the course of the investigation witnesses have identified Sloan and Sanders in the vehicle. Police are not willing disclose what the suspects told them during the interview because they are still working on leads in attempts to locate the firearm used in the homicide. Sanders and the first individual arrested, Jerome Wynne are related to each other and are documented gang members. Sloan is also believed to be a gang member. The case is still under investigation. If anyone has questions or information, they can contact Det. Paul Johnson at (209) 388-7742.
