THIS CARDIAC ARREST,REALLY? This is a sudden stop in effective blood circulation due to failure of the heart to contract effectively or at all.Forget about this scientific and medical defination. Cardiac Arrest is a term blatantly used,misused and abused by medical personnel to hide the truth and/or conceal the facts.More than half of the Death Certificates you will come across will have Cardiac Arrest as the Cause of Death. As i write this,I hold in my hand the Death Certificate of my late dad,Mr. Mugo Maina where the cause of death is Cardiac Arrest .He died a similar death to the Homa Bay county Senator,a politician I admired and loved. On the fateful day 18yrs ago,the late Mugo Maina reported to his place of work,KCB Muranga branch.Being a Saturday,the branch would close around noon.Its alleged that at around 11am,a man friend picked him from the branch.He bade his collegues goodbye for the weekend promising to see them on Monday.To cut a long story short,he travelled home 30kms away after a meeting with the said man.He vomited profusely on his journey,arrived home safely,talked to his last born Mwangi Mugo and sent him to run an errand.He entered his bedroom,rested on his bed on his back and that was the end of him. Preliminary post mortem analysis and reports showed extensive damage to the liver as a result of taking poisoned tea and samosas.The specimens taken never reached the Government Chemist in Nairobi due to sabotage probably by the hand involved.The officer charged with the task stayed with them for three days citing lack of transport to the City under the sun. That not withstanding,they went ahead to give Cardiac Arrest as the cause of death just to put the matter to rest.I feel that there is more than meets the eye in this Senators death.More and more questions should be asked and answers sought over this matter.Am not alleging that he died of poisoning but still am not ruling it out.Forget about the Friday accident or the blasphemy!
