THIS JUST IN: According to Civilian Personnel officials, Department of State has authorized restoration of the 20% Post Allowance, effective June 1, and also authorized a “special” Post Allowance to cover the two missed pay periods. Confirmation of the change is located at aoprals.state.gov/content.asp?content_id=509&menu_id=81 DFAS is currently projecting that employees will receive the retro pay for the two missed pay periods in their paycheck for the pay period ending June 14. In addition, USFK has completed a beta test of the Living Pattern Questionnaire (LPQ) generally used by Department of State to set Post Allowance rates. The survey should be distributed to all DOD civilian employees later this month. Full participation is encourages. Post Allowance may be further adjusted based on the results of the survey.
