THIS POST IS FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SOME-ONE TOXIC IN THEIR LIFE... Earlier this week I met with a lady I have immense respect for, she sees through your BS, she doesn’t believe in sugar coating and she has the most alluring aura. She told me I have a beautiful heart. She told me I’m a fair person, I work hard & I’m good at what I do. The beautiful heart is what got me the most, I cannot remember the last time anyone had said something like that to me. This got me thinking...It has taken a lady I have only twice in my life to make me believe in myself again, to make me realise I am not a bad person. She is almost a stranger to me, yet she has had an outstanding & positive impact on me. Unfortunately I have surrounded myself with people who made me believe the opposite about myself...whether it was a friend or relative or even a work colleague. Most people think I am a positive happy person, and that is who I try to be all of the time. But behind the scenes some people in my life have left me feeling broken, lost and insecure...these are toxic people who are even more insecure than me. Rather than trying to deal with their insecurities they try to make themselves feel better by sucking out the energy from positive people. I allowed this to happen to me because I thought I was helping them and my parents have always encouraged me to help others. I realise now what a negative impact this has had on me and I refuse to be a punching bag for these people. If anyone knows where I am coming from or is in a similar situation...please shut these people out of your life before you are left picking up the pieces for months or even years to come. It’s time to put yourself first and show everyone you know your own worth. Understand & accept that you deserve better and that they will not change with your help – they need to help themselves. I hope this post has the impact to help anyone in need. Follow YOUR own bliss people...xXx
