THOUGHT FOR TODAY... If you spend yourself on yourself only for your joy, ironically you wont be happy. If you deny yourself and lay down your life for others for their eternal joy, ironically, only then will you be happy; now and forever. What if I try to do some of both? Will that work? Some for me, some for them? This, American Christianity calls balance. The Bible calls it a divided heart. A cake half turned. Look out upon a suffering, starving, headed for hell world and tell them about your spiritual struggles to give more of your time, money, gospel treasure, your life or heart to them. Im sure they can be patient while we sort out theologically how much is enough love for them. This is our battle. Its a battle for love and joy. A battle for their souls and your heart. (Scott Price)
