THOUSANDS PROTEST LATEST HAZARA TARGET ATTACK IN PAKISTAN: Thousands of people across several major Pakistani cities have rallied in support for Hazara human rights following another target attack against the community near Quetta, Pakistan. The most recent incident occurred when busloads of Shia Hazaras were returning from an Islamic pilgrimage in Iran and fell victim to a bomb attack which killed 28, including children and women. Several thousand demonstrated on Quetta’s busy Alamdar Road with families of the deceased refusing to bury their loved ones until their demands for basic human rights were addressed by the countrys government. One of their demands include the elimination of well known terror groups such as Lashkar-i-Jhangvi who have proudly claimed responsibility for many massacres of Hazaras in Pakistan. “We will not bury our dead bodies until a clear assurance from the government that it will launch a crackdown against terrorists and their sanctuaries,” Abdul Khaliq Hazara, head of the Hazara Democratic Party, said. Several hundred Shia Muslims and in particular, Hazaras were massacred in Pakistan in 2013.
