THREE REASONS WHY JASON JACKSON SHOULD BE THE NUS BLACK STUDENT OFFICER 2014 1. Jason Jackson is a natural and passionate leader. Even before his election into positions of leadership, he was always seen involved and passionate about bringing about the required change. This is why it was easy for students to elect him as their choice leader at the student union and other positions in the student movement. Jackson also has the required experience to run a student movement. This was obvious as he was one of the leaders that organised the #Bringourgirlsback campaign in London and the cycle-safe initiative campaign. 2. Jason Jackson spearheaded the first successful black history week since the inception of London Metropolitan University. At no time did we ever celebrate or mark the black history week. The institution had initially never celebrated such before, but Jackson was successful in soliciting for funds for the authorities and put in the structures so that it will be an annual event as it’s supposed to be. 3. Jason Jackson’s manifesto and programmes are the most realistic and achievable. His manifesto involves plans to both FE and HE. It involves mentorship programmes and realistic campaigns. He also explains how he will achieve them. So these are not just abstract ideas that you see in a politician’s speech. THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON WHO MUST VOTE FOR TO MOVE OUR MOVEMENT FORWARD VOTE JASON JACKSON
