THURSDAY 21ST NOVEMBER, 2013 SEED AND SONSHIP (1) 1 CORIN. 15:45-47, ROM. 3:23 Two forces that are critical for you to get involved with and understand on the earth, that you will function with and fulfill your destiny to the maximum potential with, are SONSHIP and SEED. There are different categories of human beings on the earth trying to fulfill the original mandate that God gave to man. We saw that the first man that was given this mandate was the son of God. If you are going to fulfill that same mandate, you have to be like the first person that received the mandate originally. God did not give that mandate to an angel. So it means that an angel cannot actually fulfill that mandate. He didn’t give the mandate to animals. No matter how powerful they are, they can’t fulfill that mandate, but he gave it to man and not just any kind of man. You remember the Bible says something, look at 1Corinthians 15:45, And so it is written, “the first man, Adam was made a living soul and the last Adam was made a quickening spirit”. Here, God is standing two Adams side by side. The first one is the Adam in the Garden of Eden while the last Adam is Jesus Christ. His full capacity was functioning to fulfill the assignment that God gave to man. He named all the animals and didn’t repeat himself. He had communication with God twenty four hours of the day and unbroken communion, until sin came in. That’s the man that God gave the assignment to. Sin was the problem. Sin relegated him. He was chased out of his inheritance and the separation from God was becoming farther until all his descendants were becoming evil in their imaginations (Gen.6:5). He lost it all. The second Adam came as the atonement for sin so that man can be restored to his original glory. The original mandate for man is to dominate the earth (Gen.1:26-31) and not to be dominated. Sin made man a victim instead of a victor. Man became a sinner first of all not because of our sinful acts but because we are direct descendants of Adam (Rom. 3:23). If you will fulfill your God given assignment, walk successfully on this earth to enter into your full capacity like the first Adam did before sin came in and if you don’t want to live lesser than what you are created to be, then you have to go through the second Adam - Jesus Christ who conquered sin and its consequences. All you need do this morning is to surrender your life to him willingly, deliberately and genuinely. Confess your sins, renounce the devil and his works, confess Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, believe him with all your heart and finally take a decision to walk with the Lord from now on. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I acknowledge that I’m a sinner. Forgive me of all my sins, wash me clean with your precious blood. I believe you are the Son of God and you died to make me free from the yoke and consequences of sin. Come into my heart, I receive you as my personal Lord and Saviour in Jesus name (Amen) Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 42:1-43:27, James 5:1-20, Psalm 119:1-16, Proverbs 28:6-7
