TIP OF THE DAY: An important addendum to any training program is stretching. Dont overlook it--particularly on days when you plan to run fast. Does stretching prevent injury? Not sure about that, but it feels good. Strength training is important too: Push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, use of free weights or working out at a fitness center. Find a good way to fit both stretching and strength training into your regular routine. Whether this will make you a better runner may be less important than it making you a fitter person.
