When I first saw her she was quietly curled up on her bed, looking very much like her world had crumbled. She looked at me softly and didnt look opposed to going out, but as soon as my leash made contact with her skin she unexpectedly let out the most heartbreaking scream! I closed her cage door, offered her a treat (which sat untouched) and she turned and faced the wall. The following day a staff member reported a similar experience, but raved about how sweet Annie was once she was out of her cage and with her help, I got to see for myself. And she isnt just sweet, she is incredibly, extremely, amazingly sweet, and then some. She still seemed uncomfortable walking on the leash, but responded very well to coaxing - slowly walking over, her tail tucked and quickly wagging. As soon as she got to me she would nuzzle her face into my lap and look up at me softly. Annie is very attentive and easy to handle. Off leash in the pen she really comes out of her shell - she shows me play bows and even considers playing with a tennis ball. When weve seen other dogs Annie has stayed quiet and seems calm, but interested. She seems housetrained and loves the treats she previously wasnt ready to accept. She is still timid, but her tail is much less tucked and shes even shown me a full blown wag! On an upsetting day for me, Annie was my go-to girl for comfort and she seemed to sense I needed it; she propped her paws in my lap, rolled her head against me, lifted one paw as if she was ready to go belly-up and licked my face as I pet her. Annie is such an amazing, sensitive, gentle, beautiful lady -all she needs is someone to make her feel safe forever PLEASE HURRY HURRY HURRY SAVE THIS DEATH ROW DOG https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/915161971830016/?type=3&theater
