TO SEE HOW TO DESIGN BUILD AND MANAGE A DIVE RESORT BUSINESS FROM A FAR FOLLOW THESE POST At present lm trying to shuffle between my 60 hour work week with Aramco, teach a little diving, participate in dive and desert trips, advise the girls, lawyers and accountants for the Philippines resorts (2!!!!). In addition, I am preparing designs for Nipa huts, a custom state of the art swimming pool/pond (yes l said pond… more to follow), a clubhouse, and all the associated drawings to get permits! Oh and boy scouts start again next week. Plenty of folks ask how do I juggle all of these balls and switch to the required hats so I thought I’d share with you over the next 4 months a small part of this. This week necessity required I put all other designs on the back burner and crank out the Nipa hut. What I plan to bore you with is this little project for nipa huts on Kaniki Island from conceptual ideas and drawings though to the final design for approval, then the logistics to get materials to an island off an island, in a country of islands, and finally the construction and final project. To that end, attached below are the first 9 steps in the design and plans done this week. You can see l start with bad sketches/ideas, give them to my AutoCAD guy Edzel Estrada, he gives back the basics, l draw on them, he revises and gives back the revisions, l revise, change my mind, and add omitted details and the process continues.
