TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I am not sure who that is since no one did anything to help when the Officers crippled me. Friends and family, I feel as if it is my responsibility to let you all know that this last Sunday, I was once again threatened by a local thug and when I refused to meet the thug at a park where children would be present the thug drove to my home. I must point out I live in a cul-de-sac like configuration of 4 duplexes, so eight homes with the parking in the middle and each having children that are often outside playing. The threat stemmed from myself and my wife loaning a, so we thought friend, $652.00 to make her rent. It was near the first of the month and my Land lord has been great about allowing me to take even to the 23 this time, and the lady promised to have us paid back by the 15. I know it was dumb but I have loaned the lady/girl up to $700 before and she made good on it. So we thought we would try to help her again because the last time she paid it all back and was very good for it. Any way on this Sunday morning/afternoon I text her on the number she had last text me on to barrow the money and asked if I needed to come to her house to get it, an offer (not a threat), just trying to do what I could to help her. But this time a guy text back and told me he was on his way to my house to deal with this, and something to the fact that he had spent 9 years in prison, and was planning to show me what happens when I ask for my money back. It was a flat out threat, I could tell and I am sure you could to. So I waited at my house when he text me again and attempted to get me to meet him at a park to deal with this money problem. Using my better judgment and meeting this thug at a park putting more kids in danger I simple said to him well you drove this far dont let a couple of blocks stop you. My wife and son were home as well as my Mother -in-law who lives with us, as she needs a little more help with her own physical ailments. Im not stupid & I know my rights, especially the 2nd Amendment and the Castle law, so I asked my wife to get my 9mm out of the safe just in case the guy was that stupid. She got it for me and I asked her to go back in the office in case something went wrong and I could not protect her. Sometime had gone by and I thought maybe things were just talk for a few minutes, until I heard a truck revving its engine very loudly and pulling in my driveway very fast. I took the gun out of the holster and placed it in my pocket as I still was not familiar with this punk. I went to my front door and opened it only to find the FOOL full on approaching my home and family. I stood at the top stair with my cane and as he started to quickly take the first step up to my door I took my cane and quickly gave him a jab to the face in hopes of stopping his stupidity before it went too far, but with my disability (I think I am not sure) i may have slipped others say he pulled me down, but either way I fell down the 4 steps hurting my elbows and of course my back hurt from it as well. I now found myself face down on the side walk and felt him doing something to my back, but I am not sure if it was hitting or pressing down on me as the adrenaline had taken over, I only knew this man had just threatened me and my family and I could not let that happen so I reached in my pocket and pulled my Rugger P85 9mm and chambered a round. At that point the tough guy thug began to cry please dont shoot me. My neighbors were all outside and had begun calling the police, so I ordered him into my living room as I was hurting I could not hold my cane and my buy on him, and could not take a chance that I dropped the gun from my disability. I told him to enter my living room and to kneel on the floor until the Officers arrived, but when we entered I seen my wife had come to the end of the hall to make sure all was OK, and the Person who had just attempted to assault me and to make entrance to my home then took a step toward her instead of to the center of the living room as I said, so out of fear for my wife I cranium-ed the fool with my gun splitting his head but dropping him before he could get to my wife, in other words I hit him in the head with my gun, it was that or I would have to shoot him. Because my wife is my world and to allow him to hurt her would be the same as allowing him to hurt me I acted out of self-defense again. When the Officers arrived I walked him out to them and gave then a audio statement, so did all 8 of the neighbors all of which described his aggression toward me. The Officers all of American Fork Pd. the force I Currently have complaints over them failing to protect me, and for two of their own officers actually assaulting me, got the suspect off to the hospital and then took my gun out of my sight to dismantle it as I didnt want them to try to change anything I still dont know if they did, as they confiscated my gun yet never charged me. I showed them the blood they missed with their high def cameras, the drops that showed the attackers moves towards my wife. They didnt bring the good camera in for that but one of them used their cell phone to document those drops. I then informed the officers I wanted his truck towed off my property and out of my assigned driveway, which they did not do. Instead they stayed there informed me they were taking my gun, and then gave the man a ride back from the hospital where they allowed him to get in his truck and leave. That is right they disarmed me then released the man who just attacked me at my own home. The witnesses even stated that he backed out dangerously fast put it in drive and took off down the road dangerously fast, yet he was still let go. This is the third time the American Fork Police allowed someone to assault me and in the other 2 events they charged me. This time they in all reality took my form of defense and then let the man go free to come back later and try to finish what he started. I mean they prevented me from having his vehicle towed from my property, took my form of defense and released this thug to do as he wanted. This has left me feeling that the American Fork Police Dept. not only wont uphold my rights to remain un-assaulted along with my family, but willfully endangered my life by letting the people go free each time, including the time their own officers crippled me. PLEASE HELP ME DEMAND JUSTICE BY CALLING THE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE SHERIFF TRACY WILL LOOK INTO IT, BUT ALSO CALL THE CHIEF OF POLICE CHIEF LANCE CALL AND SEE WHY THEY ARE WILLFULLY ENDANGERING MINE AND MY FAMILIES SAFETY. IS IT BECAUSE THEY ARE HOPING I DONT MAKE IT TO COURT AGAINST THEIR OFFICERS? ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.
