TODAY IN HIPHOP: On this day in 1992, Pittsburg rapper, Mac Miller was born in Pennsylvania. Millers debut album Blue Slide Park, which was independently distributed, made it to the top of the charts; a feat only accomplished by The Dogg Pounds Dogg Food. At the age of 15, Miller decided to focus on Hiphop as a career and began a mixtape grind (11 since 2007). In 2011, Miller was one of the eleven rappers featured in XXL magazines Freshman Class of 2011. Between 2011-2013, he released two albums Blue Slide Park and Watching Movies with the Sound Off. Throughout his career, Miller has worked with Pharrell Williams, Raekwon, Ab-Soul, Action Bronson, Jay Electronica, Just Blaze, and 9th Wonder to name a few. In October 2014, he signed a recording contract and distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records for $10 million.
