TODAY IS MY 2 YEAR CAD BIRTHDAY!! ...and it keeps getting better! For all you newbies, my name is Kathryn and I suffered an inoperable intercraneal carotid artery dissection and pseudo aneurysm. My symptoms started as a headache, and on the fifth day, the pain felt like a hand grenade blew up in my head and my body was vomiting nonstop to deal with the excruciating pain. By the time I got to ER, the prognosis was not good, and the first thing--after filling my veins with morphine--was to offer to get me a priest. This was exponentially hard on my husband and son. Its the only thing I have a tough time dealing with. I went from running 3-4 times a week, and practicing martial arts to being bed ridden or walked to the end of the driveway with my mom or son. The photos you see below are of last July, in which I got back in the ring and won a sparring competition 5-0. I largely utilized diet, and alternative remedies to heal myself at exponential speed. Sure, now and then I still get sold symptoms, such as blurry vision in the eye over the artery, stinging in my head and the occasional migraine, but Im feeling good overall. A reminder to many of you that Depression usually follows any type of severe brain injury, so if you start feeling depressed, its physical not emotion. I use Tyrosine to increase my Dopamine levels. Dopamine is responsible for our moods and pleasure centers. I was offered anti-depressants but chose not to take them as I know several people with brain injuries who did, and suffered exponentially as a result. To those of you who are new, get rest, eat well, VERY well, and you will heal fast. Feed you body foods that benefit the brain such as flaxseed, walnuts, berries and more!! Once you are better, start exercising again. Baby steps are the key; and before you know it, youre good to go!! PS: AND TO THOSE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED: Ive made some extreme headway in the area of neurological research, and my findings are a bit disturbing. Ive been researching now--even having been taking Research in College--a lot about migraines, brain swelling and aneurysms. Im not ready to write my paper, but I can tell you there is a FAIR amount of research that supports humans--in the Western World--having more parasites and worms in their body than ever before. And if and when they get to the brain, all havoc can ensue. Migraines appear to be undiagnosed parasite infections. People with cats are subject to toxoplasmosis, people who have ever eaten pork--even if its cooked--and people who have spent extended time in Third World or Tropic territories can become subject to brain worms. My research has been global, CDC the World Health Organization, health practitioners as well as patients who have been diagnosed with brain parasites. I am not saying CADs are caused by parasites. Theres no way to know unless you are diagnosed correctly. Im just throwing out the research Ive been working on thus far, and Im FAR from finished. Parasites are a real threat to us these days. But unfortunately, the symptoms of their infestation are being treated instead of our bodies being treated for the parasite. Something to think about. Add daily garlic to your diet, avoid sugar and dairy and consider trying the Wormwood-Black Walnut-Clove Compound. Just putting it out there!! xoxoxo
