TODAYS EPL MATCH PREVIEW................ TOTTENHAM VS MANCHESTER CITY....................8:45PM Ive heard it said that Spurs have had it relatively easy since Tim Sherwood took charge. That - with the exception of the FA Cup tie at Arsenal, which they lost - the fixtures have been kind to the new man in charge. Whilst there may be a grain of truth in the argument (and Andre Villas-Boas would surely side with it!), I think its only a grain. The old adage rings true that you can only beat the opposition in front of you, and the fact remains that Sherwood is unbeaten as a Premier League boss. Sixteen points from a possible 18 has been a superb start for him, and has included wins at Manchester United and Southampton. Easy? Really? MATCH FACTS Head-to-head Manchester City have scored 17 goals in their last five league games against Tottenham. Tottenham have won seven and lost just one of their last 10 home games against Manchester City. In the reverse fixture back in November, Spurs fired in 13 shots to Citys 15, but lost 6-0. If the league had started after Tim Sherwood took charge at White Hart Lane, Manchester City would be top with 18 points and the Lilywhites would be second with 16. Tottenham Tottenham have only lost once in their last 10 league matches; 5-0 against Liverpool. They have won 25 points away from home, compared with just 18 at White Hart Lane. Spurs have conceded just one headed goal this season, fewer than any other team in the top flight. Emmanuel Adebayors five goals from seven games this season has matched his Premier League tally from 25 appearances last season. Manchester City City are unbeaten in 19 matches, scoring 64 goals in that period. Manchester City have scored with 21.2% of their shots this season, the best chance conversion rate in the Premier League. Edin Dzeko has scored in three of his last four Premier League appearances and has five in five against Tottenham - more than he has scored against any other club. Yaya Toure has scored six goals in his last eight Premier League games. Sergio Aguero has scored 13 and assisted four in his last 12 top-flight appearances. Aguero has 49 Premier League goals from 80 games. If he scores against Spurs, or against Chelsea on Monday, hell be the fifth fastest man to a half century, behind Andy Cole, Alan Shearer, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Fernando Torres.
