In your discourse you said that a person should find a real guru, then one will get the right direction in life. What are the indications of a real guru? Ans- Pujya Guruji....... One who lives by the Truth (Satya) is a sant (saint). The characteristics of a sant have been described by Sage Kapil in Kapilopaakhyaan in Shrimad Bhagwatam, by Lord Krishna in Bhagwad Geeta and by Lord Rama in Aranyakand of Shri Ramacharit Manas. Seekers of knowledge should read these scriptures for guidance. However one should not test sants. In whomever one finds the characteristics of a sant, he is a sant. If we our selves become suitable (eligible) disciples, we will definitely meet a real sadguru just as Shukadevji went to meet King Parikshit on his own. Guru is one who (Ru) removes (Gu) darkness. He removes the veil of ignorance (darkness) with the light of his knowledge. Such a person is a tatwagyani (Knower of the fundamental element). He is a tatwadrishta (Seer of the fundamental element). Such a person has not only known the original or the fundamental Element, which is the Brahman with the help of his guru and scriptures, but has also directly experienced it within himself Aparokshanubhuti. One, who has thus realised God, enables others to know and realise God for themselves.
