TODAY’S QUOTE: “IN THE SPIRIT, DISTANCE MAKES NO DIFFERENCE” Memory Verse: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” Mark 11:24. Do you feel swept off your feet? Are you feeling disappointed? Are you stranded or feeling abandoned? Whatever it may be, the good news is: God is never more than a prayer away from you. God can be reached anytime and any day. His network can never fail or get too busy. He has never put a secretary between you and Himself. Anybody can call on God in any situation. He said: ‘call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me’ Psalms 50:15. Heaven is ready to receive you when you pray, and besides, time spent in communion with God is never lost’. When we pray, we link ourselves with God’s inexhaustible power and insight. Wishing can never be substitute for prayer. Remember, prayers cannot be answered until they are prayed. Prayer creates momentum; it lifts the heart above the challenges of life and gives it a view of God’s resources of victory and hope. Prayer provides power, poise, peace and purpose for a person’s purpose, plans and pursuits. It was Corrie Ten Boom who said: ‘the devil smiles when we make plans. He laughs when we get too busy, but he trembles when we pray’. However, and more importantly, when you pray, you must simultaneously position yourself to be willing to take the action that God requires as answers to the prayers. Why must you be begging a mortal when God is there for you? Why must you ridicule your personality in begging people when you can easily go on your knees and pray to God? Why do you prefer to struggle with man when you can easily control him through God that created him? Spare yourself the stress and ridicule. The strongest action that you can take in any situation is to go on your knees and ask God for help. Welcome to the school of prayers. Go on your knees. You won’t fall. God bless you! PROPHETIC PRAYERS Today, I exchange my worries and anxieties for the peace of God. Let there be a revival in my prayer life in Jesus name. Holy Spirit, revive my culture of prayer.
