TOM WATERHOUSE OPENING ODDS: Andrew Sullivan: 3 -1 Defending - TopicsExpress

TOM WATERHOUSE OPENING ODDS: Andrew Sullivan: 3 -1 Defending champion. Showed poise and nerve to take the title last year. Pressure will come from his group of strong drinkers he has drawn. Liam ODempsey: 4-1 A finals contender last year. A lot of late mail suggests he can go one better this year. A solid bet. Shaun OLeary: 6-1 Solid golfer with experience on the course. Grog could be his only potential downfall. Aaron McVeigh: 7-1 Another golfer with proven miles on the course. Will be a contender, chasing the green jacket that he never got. Jason Williams: 9-1 Has been out of the state and out of practise, but knows the course like the back of his hand. A past winner who will revel the return. Geoff Thorley: 10-1 Hit or miss golfer. The cooler weather will suit him. Outside chance at making the final 3. Matt Wheatley: 11-1 In with a strong chance after shooting a PB recently at the Warwick Golf Club. Cant count him out. Mitch Lamb: 8-1 Showed form at his first and only hitout. Enough there to suggest he is a great chance at finishing in the final 5. Chris McGregor: 8-1 An unknown golfer to the Willow Pines. Word on the street is he handy player who should not be left out of betting. Nick Baker: 18-1 A player who loves the day. Must improve on last years showing and keep the consistency up. Fraser McVeigh: 18-1 Handy junior player. 2 stubbies and he may be drunk. Has more experience at the course than many more senior players. Harry Sullivan: 18-1 Another young player who will be keen to improve on last year. Will learn a lot playing with 2 of the 3 favourites of the comp in his group. Che Barrett: 25-1 Can cook a mean BBQ. Unsure of golfing skills. Blake Doro: 30-1 Another unknown golfer. This could be his biggest golfing stage yet. Craig Pettiford: 33-1 Unlikely to finish in the top 5 but is a sure thing to drink 30 stubbies. Sam Waugh: 42-1 Recent form with Matt Wheatley suggested he could be a darkhorse but the bookies dont believe he is a threat. Zach Duxfield: 60-1. Has years of experience at the pines but has been written off by many. There is talk in betting circles that he may not complete the 9. Zac Murray: 65-1 There is no form on his golfing abilities and no interest from the punters. Nick ODempsey: 101-1 Has a wobble head and is better at pigging. Shaun Coleman: 101-1 Will be in the top 5 drinkers all day.
