Christopher Shein has started dozens of community, school, and market gardens. He teaches permaculture at Merritt Community College where he helped develop an award-winning student farm. Christopher attended UC Santa Cruz where he was introduced to the Alan Chadwick Agroecology Farm and Garden. Christopher was one of the key members who launched BASIL (Bay Area Seed Interchange Library). Shein owns Wildheart Gardens, a permaculture landscape business that designs and builds sustainable gardens.
