TONIGHT @ 7:00p - CHUCK SEARCY & PROJECT RENEW Chuck Searcy, a founder of The Athens Observer, a local weekly newspaper that was last published in the 1990s, has spent nearly the past two decades engaged in humanitarian work in Vietnam. He now works with Project RENEW to remove unexploded bombs, mines, and other ordnance left behind from the American war, during which he served in U.S. military intelligence. Searcy returns to Athens for a presentation on Project Renew’s efforts with Vietnamese colleagues NGO XUAN HIEN and LUONG TUAN HUNG, and will give a talk with Q&A and video presentation.
