If someone can simply stop loving, to throw it away and never feel - TopicsExpress

If someone can simply stop loving, to throw it away and never feel it again, to simply move on to someone new. Does that make it objectively of little value? I mean, if you can just toss it and find it again months later, is it then not genuinely precious? Its just a chemical reaction that evolved to make us stronger survivors. But we have gotten to the point where we can step outside the animals that we are and examine what makes us function. Right? They make medication for an endless array of things, even to the point of changing how we think. Maybe love can be a pill. Losing it can be a pill. Or a pill to simply lose any such feeling at all and not feel any regret.
