TOO MUCH TO SAY: PART 1 Sorry, but I have so much to say that I broke it up into 2 different posts. Dang, if I wasnt trying to condense it, I probably could have wrote a book. I have refrained from posting about the government shutdown, but now that it is over, I can no longer refrain. I worry a lOT about some of the things that I plan on commenting about. I very well might even have a friend or two that might leave me, yet I intend to say exactly what I think. I want to leave this country better for my kids, grandkids and such. I see both sides, the right and the left scrambling to make the best of what they did. In my honest opinion, both sides should be ashamed of what happened. Even more so, many people that took one side or the other should be ashamed of their choices. What we have in this country is a two party ruling elite. First we have the Left or the Democrats that if you truthfully look at their agenda want to give away every thing. They are spend happy and dont give a damn what it cost me and you. On the other side, we have the right or the Republicans that if you really take a good look at them they dont give a damn about us either, their main agenda is to look after the agenda and interests of the big businesses and the rich. What we need in this country is some moderates. Some people that realize that we cant fix all of our problems at once. Some people that realize we need to attack one problem at a time. Some people that realize that you cant provide handouts to people. Some people that realize that we need to be concerned about out military protections for this country, yet realize that we cant be the police of the world. We need some people that care about this country and not their own political careers. We need some people that truly care about the people of this country. I am going to be honest with you, it makes me sick when I look at this country and realize that with all we have, we can not look after all of our sick and needy. We can not provide adequate medical care for all. Instead we rely on the big insurance companies, who in my opinion are really only interested in profits. Whether you want to believe it or not, you can get good medical care in this country if you can afford it. Forget about all the poor or the children that are born into poor or sorry families, forget about the people that cant earn enough to make a decent living and afford the care. Forget about the people that are just down on their luck. In my opinion, those are poor excuses in a country as great as ours. I know we can do better. I see people posting all the time about saving dogs, cats and all sort of animals. For the most part, I agree with them. Yet, shouldnt we show at least as much concern for those children that are in the cracks, parents that cant or wont provide for them. Some people dont seem to be willing to give a little (yes, it might be money) to see that those kids, as well as other people are likewise taken care of regardless of their financial ability to do it themselves. I am sorry if that offends anyone, but I care as much about the children and needy of this country as I do about the animals. I hope no one misconstrues the above comments for support of the Affordable Health Care Act, because it is not, yet I highly endorse taking the control of our health and health care out of the hands of insurance companies that are really only interested in profits. I really think we need to go further than the Affordable Health Care Act.
