So to anyone with a broken heart or bad memories of Christmas....maybe youll feel better knowing that the true meaning of Christmas was merely an attempt by the Catholic church to compete with the Pagans on their popular Winter Solstice party. A mass for Christ...or Christ mas was then formulated, taking many symbols such as the Christmas tree and wreathe... and assigning new non-pagan meanings to them. Furthermore, theologians surmise that Jesus was more than likely born in April. Nonetheless, today pagans, Christians and those who dont really believe in anything ironically still take the time to celebrate a mass for Christ by participating in Christmas....Feel better now? And if you truly do believe in Christ....He needs to be celebrated everyday...not just on Dec 25!
