TOURIST ON SHOW Fantastic 2014 for me. Just doing end of year tidying, and counted 12 medallions of various sorts and metallic substances for races this year - My biggest haul ever ! A Marathon (last ever) , four halfs (loved them all), a few 10ks and 5 miles and 5 ks too. I also joined a running club and left again three weeks later - thats a story!! My fondest piece of metal though has to be my second 52 mile TOM medal. I cannot describe how proud I am looking at it. The race will always exceed expectations and deliver more than anything else. All the tourists whove done a tour will know what I mean, and all those ready to do one will realise what I mean when you cross the line in new Brighton. Colin Lamprey has also quite eloquently put it, that you meet a lot of people who will not only be people to you - but will be friends aswell. With this in mind I though I would take a quick picture with my tour t-shirt on and all of medals this year. Sadly, the weight of the Tour medal was too much for my back to handle, so I have had to hang that in a special place capable of taking the pressure. Any other tourists out there , or tourists to be, share a picture of yourself on show with your gongs, for a nice way to end the year! Kenny Worrall I cant wait for your pic !! The first person to spot where my tour medal is, wins 2 olives and a cocktail sausage at the jan 3rd shindig !
