So what do you make of the draw for the Europa League? Aberdeen could face Real Sociedad in the third round of qualifying for the Europa League. Derek McInnes side were held to a 0-0 draw by FC Groningen at Pittodrie with manager Erwin van de Looi accepting his team are favourites to progess at home. However the prospect of a tie against the Spanish giants could inspire the Dons to victory. Motherwell could play Polish side Lech Poznan or Nõmme Kalju of Estonia with Kalju currently 1-0 ahead from the first leg. Former Dundee United defender Barry Douglas currently plays for Poznan, having moved to the Ekstraklasa team in the summer of 2013. Motherwell lost a two-goal lead to be held to a 2-2 draw with Stjarnan at Fir Park. Josh Laws double put the Steelmen in control but the Icelandic side took advantage of two penalties conceded by Keith Lasley to draw level. Scottish Cup winners St Johnstone will face FC Zestafoni or FC Spartak Trnava should they progress. Saints secured a fine 1-1 draw against FC Luzern in Switzerland thanks to a Steven MacLean goal. Zestafoni and Spartak Trnava drew 0-0 in their first leg.
