TRANSFORMED FROM WITHIN:"Then I will sprinkle clean water on you,and you shall be clean;I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you;I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes,and you will keep My judgment and do them"(Ezekiel 36;25-27).Many Christians fail to understand this.They know they should be better persons,and they struggle with all their might to change their behavior.But most of their attempts at self-improvement fail and they end up frustrated and discouraged.They can echo the words of the apostle Paul:"For I know that in me(that is,in my flesh)nothing good dwells;for to will is present with me,but how to perform what is good I do not find.For the good that I will to do,I do not do;but the evil I will not to do,that I practice"(Romans 7:18-19).What is the problem? The problem is that we are relying on our own strength instead of the strength of the Holy Spirit.We not only need to know how God wants us to live;we also need the power to achieve it.And God has given us that power by giving us His Holy Spirit.He gives us the Bible to teach us and other Christians to encourage us but He also gives us His Spirit to change us.Not only do we have other Christians around us,but we have the Holy Spirit within us.He is our constant,unchanging companion on the journey.May Jesus bless you
