TRIP OF A LIFETIME!!! CROSSING CANADA ON A SHOESTRING Alrighty folks, this will be my final post (most likely, but probably not) on this on this page that has served me sooo very well and for THAT, I am grateful. Following many ups and downs, back and forth and joy and frustrations over the last month I will be getting the heck outta Dodge. HA!! And how appropriate is that, seeing as what I am about to post involves a Dodge. Yes, its true, Im finally heading home to Montreal. While I am very saddened by the whole idea as I have come to love the valley and all its inhabitants both furry and no so furry, I`m VERY excited by the prospect of new beginnings and the adventure that lies before me. If you should choose to accept this challenge (not a challenge really, I just liked the way that sounds, lol), you will be travelling in the lap of luxury. This nearly new 2013 Dodge Ram is equipped with all the bells and whistles of that of todays most comfortable vehicles. Not only that, our chariot that will be transporting us through this beautiful country of ours, the Ram 1500 beat the competition to become the Motor Trend 2014 Truck of the Year and the only consecutive winner in the history of the award for fuel efficiency rendering this mighty V8 engine into a fuel sipping, 4 cylinder dream machine keeping our fuel expenses to a bare minimum......need I say more?? And yes, you too can be part of this Trip of a Lifetime. As we embark on this journey you will bear witness to one of Canadas & natures most excellent wonders (and yes, that was a Bill & Teds reference for all you 80s babies out there). As the seasons change here in Canada so too does the foliage of that, our our countrys national tree.....the mighty Maple and what a sight to see!! The colours that it produces are nothing short of a miracle while she lifts her skirt exposing a plethora of colours, every one found in the spectrum of colours on the chart and I have sold so many of over the years so I know her beauty first hand. Also along our journey a chance to see Canadas pristine countryside as well as the many marvels of mans awesome industrial triumphs making it possible to etch memories that you will carry for the rest of your lives!! The Plan I was hoping to be out of here travelling from Invermere to Montreal within the next few days, maybe 5 at the most (definitely after the weekend) or when we fill up the truck with our lucky participants.....whichever comes first. The truck can sit up to 5 passengers, myself included. Now, do we want to fill up with that many for 4200 KM, probably not. LOL But, that being said, you dont have to make the run all the way to Montreal with me. Not at all!! Hoping to go as far as Regina, SK, Not a problem!! Want to push right on through to Thunder Bay, ON, NOT A PROBLEM!! Into the frosty North to Anchorage AK??? Fu-ge-da-bout-it dumb dumb, ITS TOTALLY THE WONG DIRECTION!!!! LOL. So, anyway, I think you get the picture, this aint an all or nothing trip. Simply choose your destination on this, Our Journey as mighty explorers and away we go. Now an important side note.....for you folks out there that were under the impression that this would be a great chance for a ride to Banff or Calgary perhaps, well sorry kids. We cant tie up seats for just a jaunt across the Alberta border. With just one other little side note, do and please keep checking in with me as maybe there will be only one or two people that choose to travel and with that there may be room for this jaunt I speak of and any contributions money-wise will serve us well on your quest. So, with that, I thank you all so much once again for having been the best part of my experience and life memories here in the valley and whist tears trickle down my face I eagerly await to see who will be part of this adventure as we motor down the highway to encounter whatever may lay on the road before us on this journey called LIFE!!!!
