~~~ TROPICAL LOW UPDATE ~~~ This is an update on a Tropical Low in the North-East Coral Sea. Please note, that at this stage, although it is highly likely it will become a Cyclone over not just the next 48-72hrs, but over the next 18hrs... It is very unlikely it will affect the Australia/QLD Coastline. So it looks set that Cyclone Lam will form tonight as a Category 1 System in the NE Coral Sea. Current indications are that this Low is heading towards the SSW, but with a Ridge in place, it looks quite likely that it will move towards the South-East once it forms. Each update is also giving it a shorter and shorter life cycle. With current indicators having it reach Category 2 Status during Monday Afternoon. Image 1: Track Map from BoM Image 2: 4PM Monday Jan 12, Wind Forecast - showing the Cyclone at around peak intensity - via BSCH Again, I stress, all indicators are showing that it will push towards the SE away from the QLD Coast. If something was to change, I would post a necessary update if that were to happen.
