TROYs MOVIE REVIEW: Gone Girl Gone Girl is a 2014 American mystery film directed by David Fincher and adapted by Gillian Flynn from her 2012 novel of the same name. It stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon. Hows the acting? Affleck is tolerable, Pike is amazing, Harris is above average, Perry is okay, Coon was average, Kim Dickens was underwhelming, Sela Ward was great but didnt get enough screen time to suite her acting prowess, Patrick Fugits character was strange and annoying (I dont think that was on purpose). Is it a Date Movie? Not really. Is it a Chick Flick? Yes. It would be good for a girls night out. Who shouldnt see this? Kids under 15, Married couples celebrating their fifth anniversary, people opposed to watching portrayals of violence. Who should see this? People into suspense and domestic murder mysteries. People into cop shows and investigation shows. On a scale of 1 to 10 for rent it at home (10 is have a glass of wine and rent it at home and save your money, 1 is must see this in a crowded theater at high sound volume)...
