And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin. ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Amulets and Tiwalah (charms) are polytheism. (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #4, Hadith #3530) ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Whoever ties up his beard, or twists it, or hangs an amulet, or cleans himself (after relieving himself) with animal dung or bones, Muhammad has nothing to do with him. (SUNAN NASAI Vol #6, Hadith #5070) It was narrated from ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir al-Juhani that a group of people came to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and he accepted the allegiance of nine and refrained from accepting the allegiance of one. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, you accepted the allegiance of nine and not this one.” He said: “He is wearing an amulet.” He put his hand in and took it off, then he accepted his allegiance, and said: “Whoever uses an amulet has committed shirk (has associated partners with Allah).” (MUSNAD AHMAD Hadith #16969) (MUSNAD AHMAD Hadith #16781) (AL SILSILAH AL SAHEEHAH Hadith #492)
