TRUE SABBATH KEEPING The Sabbath is Gods Gift to Us [1] Mark 2:27-28 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. - The Sabbath was made for us [2] Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words - It is Gods Holy Day. Preparation for the Sabbath [3] Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. - To remember it through the week [4] Luk 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. - Especially the preparation day [5] Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work - All our work to be completed before the Sabbath begins [6] Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. - Food to be prepared prior to Sabbath. Carefulness in speaking. Not doing our own pleasure.
