TUESDAY, 4TH MARCH 2014 NO PLACE FOR FEARS “Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” PS 91:5-6 Thou shall not be afraid here presents it a command but that is not exactly what it is. It actually refers to a state of not being frightened by an occurrence. So he wasn’t referring to personal fear her but fear consciousness as a result of an occurrence or reported event. For instance, someone becomes afraid of the value of his shares after listening to the network news on the nations stock exchange. Let’s look at it in a newer version that puts it in modern day English. “You wont need to worry about dangers at night or arrows during the day. And you wont fear diseases that strike in the dark or sudden disaster at noon.” (CEV) The scripture further alerts us not to be scared of the diseases that strike in the noon. Boy, this means you shouldn’t allow the flu or any contagious disease at all frighten you because you are not susceptible to infection because of your nature just the way dogs cant be infected by the HIV virus so is a specie in God fashioned to live without the tendency to fret at any state of life. And the reason is very clear – you will attract what you fear. STUDY: Psalms 112:7 BIBLE IN A YEAR: Deuteronomy 20-22 PROCLAMATION: The Lord God Almighty is my refuge and my fortress. I refuse to fear or be intimidated by the arrows during the day or the disease that strikes in the dark or of sudden disaster because my life is programmed to move upward and forward only.
