Take a pause for the cause and rather donate to this charity or even just raise awareness, as people who suffer with cancer and ALS are able to get treatment, this is not the case for Muscular Dystrophy, physiotherapy is available for people who suffer from MD but a wheelchair and a shortened life is sadly still inevitable, look how many likes this single photo got, A FRACTION of the hundreds/thousands/millions of ridiculous ice bucket challenges I have seen raising awareness for something they have probably never heard of, MD affects not only the carriers and sufferers of the muscle wasting disease but everyone around them, I feel that this charity is severely underfunded and not enough people are aware, it may be too late for my family and families I grew up around who also suffered with MD but it is common throughout the UK with boys and in some cases girls being born with the gene defect, but it is not to late to find treatments and even one day a cure, I understand that half of you will not even read this or probably dont even care but this is something I really feel should be recognised, but please at least think about how lucky you are to have working muscles and the chance to live a full life, thank you.
