Take heart, what an invitation, and how different from what we get out of a lot of Jesus followers. Jesus said in John 15:33, in this world, crap is gonna happen, life will sometimes suck, you will be the bug on the windshield. (My paraphrase)...but take heart, have hope, in fact, take my heart when yours has failed you, for I have beaten this world. This day, month, year, is not the final word. That empty bank account, that empty house, that empty bottle, those empty eyes staring back at you, that is not the sum total of your existence. Those things are not forever and will not be even remembered in the end. I have so much more planned for you, so much more left to give to you....And so... I stand with you, in the profound suck, and declare that you are mine...and (though you may not see it now) the works of my hands delight me. I am so glad your mine. So take heart, I am not going anywhere and we can watch the sunrise of hope together. Oh yea, and those children who want to judge, or criticize and give advice. Please forgive them, I have so much work to do on so many people. Just take my heart and hold on, while I hold you.
