Taking a few minutes to chill after doing the morning round of feeding ,watering and checking in on all the animals here at The Camel Camp Sanctuary ( see FB page) I am joined by Leafy a small white fluffy dog who has the heart of a lion... Brave dynamic and ever ready to spring into action.Leafy joins us in all we do here , leading the way with his happy tail wagging,jumps in the ute when its time to pump water to the camp he sits on my lap with his head out the window a smile from ear to ear,as we dive in the lake to cool off he leaps in for a paddle and a gentle cuddle,he swims from one person to the next just checking all is well,His sparkling eyes look up as we troop off to another task,keen to accompany us even when the other ten dogs are too hot to move.He has won all our hearts and to think he was moments away from being taken out bush and shot by someone who was sick of him digging holes in his little back yard,where he was expected to still his enthusiasm for life. The Galah in the photo is also another lucky resident,who by the way flys freely ... Though also can be found joining in on the rounds of feeding and who also is taking a break here with Leafy n I
