Taking a moment to commemorate the heroes who lost their lives and left behind new life and hope 13 years ago. So many first responders left their homes and families as they do everyday unselfishly. What makes these people unique individuals is they spend a careers time making sacrifice without a given mandate or order. The majority assume their sacrifice as acts of what they are suppose to do when the reality is that it really is a want to. And although we see our nations soil as a safe haven from danger, we tend to forget that part of what makes it a safe harbor is the everyday work of our first responders. They do it despite their fears, despite the dangers, despite unknown on the other side and despite no guarantee of returning home. On this day, they walked into the allies of hell. On the other side awaited Heaven. September 11 reminds me of how difficult, how uncertain and sometimes futile it is to try and make a difference in this world especially when the odds are stacked against you. But despite this, its far better than living in a world without people who didnt try. Heaven - 9/11 Tribute - I Miss You Daddy (Boy Version)
