Taking about Heywards service time and FA coming up soon had me thinking about how the TJS pitchers service time is effected. DLd for the season isnt a season towards service time is it? Or once service time starts it doesnt stop? How does being DLd effect service time and would there be incentive to hold back a pitcher coming back? Like say Bundy, to keep these two years as only one year of service time. Or someone coming back next year, put them in the minors for the 20 day period or however that works. Then get an extra year.
