Taking time off of work from Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf - TopicsExpress

Taking time off of work from Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf for clinical trial tests is not completely terrible: I enjoyed a delicious primal crunch for breakfast each morning that my dear friend and colleague, Debbie Sicoli made me. I also found great relief for my pain after taking a hot bath in which I poured a Milk and Honey spa treatment. Could have also been her charmed necklace that I wore all weekend long to give me #strength along with #zest and #grit All this from Debbie... xoxoxox. Debbie, can you give us the primal crunch recipe on this posting? I enjoyed a fabulous dinner out at Londons Zen Garden Restaurant (Buddhist vegetarian food) that included an incredible bowl of hot and sour soup, a delicious mock maple syrup glazed BBQ fish steak, a tart yet sweet mango and goji berry salad, and my absolute favourite edible: mock shrimps with a Thai dipping sauce. OMG!!! Thank you, Auntie Mary for such a wonderful gift. A dinner date with John at our favourite restaurant after such a long and stressful day at the cancer clinic gave us something wonderful to look forward to! Both John and I continue to enjoy the incredibly rich and delectable, and awesomely healthy (but youd never know it) chocolate squares made for me by my other lovely colleague, Sandra Krueger. Truly something to experience. A perfect road trip energy booster! Sandra, can you give us the Chocolate Squares from Heaven recipe on this posting so all can enjoy! It was dairy, egg and gluten free. But be prepared to love nuts... it was packed full of healthy nutty goodness! The Healing Garden at LRCC (London Regional Cancer Centre) provided a lovely place to rest and relax between my blood draws, scans, and appointment times. Beautiful sun beamed down and I even snoozed on a bench beside tall stands of grasses and a hydrangea that stubbornly held onto its pink colour. Zzzzz... And then, of course, there was the hot tub. Im sure that is a cancer cure in and of itself. I soaked in there like it was nobodys business. Listening to the waterfall behind me and feeling its cool mist on my shoulders while the bottom half of me boiled like a lobster. Ahhhh. (Note to self, check for wear in your tankini bottom before sliding into the hot tub. A worn patch of elasticized material can be very revealing. Make sure a towel is nearby to wrap around your waist when you get out of the hot tub to ensure modesty as you make your way back to the hotel room. Dispose of tankini bottoms in the hotel room garbage can then buy a much needed new tankini bottom before your next hot tub venture!) We stayed at Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre which is the best place to stay if you are in London. The horticulturalist, Phil, is a genius. He has placed an incredible array of live palms in the atrium. It is truly a botanical garden hidden inside a hotel and conference centre. Why they dont advertise it as such, Ill never know. It has won national awards and yet they dont toot their horn. Breathing in the tropical air helps me to unwind after an 8 hour day at the cancer clinic! They provide hospital rates and a free transport shuttle to and from any hospital in the city. Thanks Mom and Dad for footing the bill for our stay!!! Feeling loved and supported, as always. The last few days were stressful, but there is always beauty and enjoyment to be had! xoxoxo Peace and Love and all things Groovy.
