Regarding the first AGM of Malaysia Bell Belia Tamil Ladang Pelam As northern region chairman of the Malaysian Young Leaders Association-MYLA ( Northern Region branch ) was invited by Romeo Rajini ; Kedah state chairman of the Kelab bell belia tamil as Chief Guest for the first AGM of Malaysia Bell Belia Tamil Ladang Pelam; my speech was as below : Malaysia is known to have so many political parties as well as NGOs, yet, there still has not been any solution to overcome the state of poverty in the country, let alone in our Indian community. Why? It is very common for us Malaysians to just give and provide rather than educating the other to earn and know of the value of things. I am not saying that donating is wrong; what I am saying is that; instead of us just giving and providing and keeping them in poverty, we can educate them and slowly but surely with what they have learnt, they can step out of impoverishment and live a life being able to source and provide for themselves. This act will definitely bring out our Indian community into light as those who works towards living a good life. As the saying goes, Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime; I personally believe that we should help teach and educate the poor and needy which will subsequently make them realise that they can live as others, happily earning legitimate income and earnings to live a better and healthier lifestyle, out and away of: poverty Thanks to Hema Nanthini, Tamil Malar reporter Jeevithan Fameboy
