Targeted individuals are people who believe that they are being - TopicsExpress

Targeted individuals are people who believe that they are being stalked by multiple people, on behalf of an unknown entity. Targeted individuals are victims of gang stalking, which is similar to gas-lighting. The term gas-lighting, taken from the title of the 1944 film ‘Gaslight’, focusses on bringing about mental anguish through systematic ‘mind games’. These mind games can cause a person to doubt their sanity. Targeted individuals become increasingly aware of their surroundings, and the behaviour of people around them. All too easily, they can be described as mentally ill, or schizophrenic. However, targeted individuals often dispute this, explaining that stalkers are trying to induce symptoms of mental illness, rendering complaints about stalker’s behaviour as useless. Some typical gang stalking behaviours presents as; Mimicking the victims behaviour Coughing or sniffing loudly Repeating conversations that the victim has had before Laughing at and ridiculing the victim There are many other ways of targeting people, including; Using technology to create ‘voices’ in victims heads Messing with target’s possessions within their own homes Spreading rumours to discredit individuals Making living conditions unbearable Popular US daytime TV show host Dr Phil featured a guest who believes that he is a targeted individual. Matt tells his story in a compelling way. Some targeted individuals take to blogging to document their daily struggles. They post evidence in order to record what is happening to them, and also to seek support from sympathetic online contacts. Why are targets chosen? Mystery surrounds the reasons why some people may be chosen as targets of organised mobbing. Strong suspicions are based on the fact that victims may be; Whistleblowers People who have made a complaint against local or central governments Subjects of revenge attacks (ex-partners, criminals that they have reported) Terrifyingly for the victims, there is often no reason at all for their selection as a targeted individual. Who are gang stalkers? Gang stalkers may or may not be known to the target of the abuse. It is believed that the perpetrators are in the pay of whoever has ordered the gang staking to take place. The secretive nature of gang stalking means that, by default, it is nigh on impossible for victims to find out who is stalking them, and why they have been targeted. Each victim will have a different view on this, and the many online accounts point to differing organisations; the government, the illuminati possibly even extra-terrestrial beings. Hypervigilance Hypervigilance is the practice of continually being alert and seeking profound danger in everyday life. According to Dr Heather Stone (Ph.D.) ‘Hypervigilance is a mindset that over-estimates the potential for danger at any given moment’. If not thought to be mentally ill, targeted individuals may be accused of being hypervigilant. However, the targeted individual community believe that these diagnoses may be used purely to hide the fact that gang stalking is taking place. It is far easier to accuse the victims than uncover untoward mass mobbing activity!
