Teachers dont always have the ability to write down what they are feeling at the moment but their emotional bank account is always full. Emotional bank accounts have been overdrawn because the ones that continually silence them are causing them to emotionally withdraw from a situation. Teachers dont want to be introverts that grade papers all day they want their personality to shine through no matter what they are facing. The internal tears that spill throughout the heart with booklets in hand are too frequent. The amount of testing a teacher must do is cruel punishment. Being punished for being yourself should never happen. The professional identity of a teacher includes a personal investment. That personal investment grows exponentially with every passing year. Teachers are not compensated for the extra work they put in each year. Grading assignments and writing lesson plans are often done off the clock. The personal sacrifice a teacher puts in for their students isnt seen sometimes until the grades are in and they are about to graduate. Teachers sat where we sat years ago thinking about what they wanted to do with their lives. Education is a civil right for all and the threats of its demise are real. Teachers are not just the chalk or the chair they sit in,they are human beings with thoughts,feelings,and ideas. Their feelings are put to the side but how can teachers turn off their hearts?. It is humanly impossible for someone to completely turn off their heart. The classroom is a home away from home and for someone to come in and take that away from a teacher is an invasion of their personal space. The classroom has no mirrors and deserve to not have any. A classroom should not have cameras in it at all.Having teachers and students videotaped to see them squirm is mean. A bully wants their targets in a vulnerable position where they strike them down. Teachers are strong but how many harsh words and how much brutal treatment can they take?. Teachers are only human and they are not prefect. Perfection would mean that schools will fail to exist. Without schools teachers would not exist. Why be harsh to people who just want to inspire the youth and make the world a better place?.
