Tears...My freshman year of high school at Butler was the very best time of my life...A time before stupid mistakes when I was a young, happy kid, still fairly innocent and life hadnt really thrown me any curveballs! As the middle schools all merged into one big high school group, I maintained some of the greatest Stone Gator friends and met some of the most awesome people Ive ever been blessed to know. As I watched this video, the memories began to flood back...my FEAR of going to high school, especially the one with the bad reputation...those long, hot days of band/dance team camp...the excitement of that first pep rally and football game...playing cards in second period (I taught my own kids how to play Speed!!)...Honor English (where my love of literature and writing began)...my hatred of Geometry and that teacher...my best guy friend (girls, be careful who you friend zone because you may look back and wonder what if!! Just saying...) ...the biggest crush of my life (RIP)...sitting where you wanted and with whomever you wanted to at lunch...the list goes on! Yes, its great to be a Butler Rebel...even after all this time! B-U-T-L-E-R...BUTLER, BUTLER!
