Teenage Cancer Trust have unveiled their plans of where they will distribute the funds donated by Stephen Sutton’s fundraising efforts that raised nearly £5 million for the charity. As well as developing existing sites and building new ones, they will also be funding the training of professionals both in research and specialist care roles. The charity will also be investing in digital communication services, giving young people more information and support on a digital platform and also funding more networking events for patients. Siobhan Dunn, Chief Executive of Teenage Cancer Trust said “Stephen’s gift to a charity of our size is more than money – the awareness raised of cancer in young people and new supporters inspired by Stephen will be essential if we are to help every young person with cancer who needs us. We have worked hard to make sure Stephen’s money makes a difference now and in the years to come for young people with cancer in the UK.” To find out more about Teenage Cancer Trust and what Stephen’s legacy will mean for them click here: https://teenagecancertrust.org/get-involved/news/stephen-s-story-to-fund-cancer-nurse-training-un/
