Tejaswini Coconut Farmers Producer Company Ltd., is going to set up an organic manure manufacturing complex at Peringome Panchayath in Kannur district. The organic manure manufacturing complex would comprise of a (a) Bio-control lab, (b) Cattle shed (c) Bio gas plant and (4) organic manure manufacturing unit. TCFPCL is an organisation that focuses a great deal on organic farming. Many of its farmers are certified organic farmers. One of the key objectives of TCFPCL is to promote organic farming; and the organic manure unit would help in this mission. The Trichoderma plant that is being set up as a part of the project may also be used for producing bio control agents for protecting numerous crops against pests and insects. The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) will assist the company in technical aspects of the plant.
