Tell Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife to revise its Forest - TopicsExpress

Tell Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife to revise its Forest Management Strategy to prioritize old growth forests and healthy fish and wildlife habitat! Deadline for public comment is 5:00 p.m. today: bit.ly/1k3G9Lt Unlike most state lands, WDFW forests are dedicated to preserving, protecting, and perpetuating fish and wildlife and their habitat. But the agency is now proposing to open up its forests to logging to generate revenue. That’s wrong! And it marginalizes the substantial economic activity and license sales that activities like fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking provide for our state.
